Thousander Club Update -- May 15

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 5:15 PM

At the risk of turning this space into "The Thousander Club Project", here is the update for the week. Fortunately, Yaniv was kind enough to post some visual stuff last week to help avoid this train becoming too single-minded. I'll try to get a couple in myself this week.

Casey Dunham's hours (5/5) -- 32
GBGames' hours (5/15) -- 85
GBGames' game ideas (5/15)-- 336
I'll do it on monday's hours (5/5) -- 160
Scott's 1000 hours (5/15) -- 150
1000 models -- still 144-ish

Woohoo. I passed 150 this week. Keep on truckin'. Yaniv has also taken the lead out on creating some work for the textures idea I was talking about last week. I'll give you more information on that once we get settled into it.

9 DAYS TO GO!

New models complete

posted by Yaniv Pe'er at 5:40 PM

Scott is being very busy lately so I will fill you all in on the latest finished models/textures.
I managed to complete the textures for both the Pipe-Cage from the Gilman Street project and the Chaos Axe from the armory. They will be available soon in the project packs.

For now, here is a small preview:

Thousander Club Update -- May 10

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 1:54 PM

I'm trying to get a few last things wrapped up here before the baby comes. In particular, I will do my best to get all of the downloadable files updated with all the latest and greatest work and hopefully post a few more pretty pictures. 14 days (or less) to go 'til babyville.

Casey Dunham's hours (5/5) -- 32
GBGames' hours (5/8) -- 80
GBGames' game ideas (5/8)-- 315
I'll do it on monday's hours (5/5) -- 160
Scott's 1000 hours (5/8) -- 141
1000 models -- still 144-ish

I think I may have managed to talk some of the other lowpolycoop folks into writing some posts while I am out, but I told them not to sweat it too much. So, don't be surprised if you hear a different voice around here in a little bit. If any of you kind readers would like to help fill in the gaps, then feel free to let me know -- scott(at)bowzizzer(dot)com.

Morning Polyhacker -- May 5

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 12:45 PM

Here's a few recent textured models from me. I will follow up with some from some other folks next week. Also, we have been discussing the creation of a new project devoted to just textures, maybe raw images and/or tile sets. If you have any thoughts on what you would like to see from us, feel free to comment.

Morning Polyhacker -- May 4

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 10:46 AM

Continuing with catching up on showing off all the great work we have been doing. Yaniv joined up a few weeks ago and quickly cranked out some incredible textures. With Nibbuls, Emily and now Yaniv helping out on textures from time to time, we're really starting to hit the home stretch on delivering our first complete pack. Enjoy!

Truly beautifully messy decadent work. Hopefully I will have more tomorrow -- if not, then next Tuesday.

Morning Polyhacker -- May 3

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 10:45 AM

Showing off our new-ish work is long overdue. Hopefully I can crawl my way through all the new art before the baby arrives. Here are a couple of models from Khaine from a few weeks ago. I think he said this is the last of the current series of Chaos weapons and armor. His direction to us texturists: "Make them look evil".

Thousander Club Update -- May 2

posted by Scott Hsu-Storaker at 12:06 PM

Whew! It's grown tough to find time these days with all the baby prep work -- 22 days or less to go. This is pretty much what I expected, I hope you all don't feel too lonely without me.

Casey Dunham's hours (4/3) -- 18 (Casey's got a baby coming, too, congrats)
GBGames' hours (5/1) -- 76.5
GBGames' game ideas (5/1)-- 294
I'll do it on monday's hours (4/27) -- 150
Scott's 1000 hours (5/1) -- 134
1000 models -- still 144-ish
1000 downloads -- 1200+ (April was the highest month yet)
1000 visitors -- 1600+ unique visitors last month (thanks y'all)

I've got some great work to show you over the next week or so, depending on if the baby comes too soon. I also have a bunch of new and updated files to get out to the world, stay tuned.
